By night a sleep out tower open to the skies, this is the ultimate romantic and value-add activity for any visit to Chiawa Camp.
The Star Bed is about 4m high, with views to die for, and features a beautiful Queen size bed under a mosquito net, bath tub, wash basin and flushing toilet.
Next to each side of the bed is a red-filtered flashlight to view any nocturnal creatures and, of course, a 2-way radio for just in case.
And what better way to start off the most romantic night in Zambia than with a floating dinner on the Zambezi? And so, introducing Chiawa Camp’s totally unique Star Drift experience …

The Star Drift experience includes:
• A 4 course dinner served whilst drifting on the Zambezi River
• A night in the starbed tower where a bath will have been drawn and crisp bubbly on ice awaits before our guests can drift off to sleep
• After a night under the stars, coffee/tea and continental breakfast will be delivered at a wake up time of your choosing.
