I just wanted to say that you have been absolutely incredible, organising such an awesome bespoke trip for us to do exactly what we wanted to do and working so hard to make it all happen and then working even harder to reorganise it all when the airline strike happened…..and then organising us an amazing (very!) last minute return to SA and fabulous stay in the Sabi Sands when our trip to Masoala was derailed by the weather! You sure showed off your sensational organisation, care for us as your guests and problem solving skills!
Madagascar was endlessly intriguing, adventurous, fun, beautiful and surprising but not nearly as confronting or difficult as I had imagined, probably due largely to your wonderful organisation and the skills of our fantastic guide and driver team (Mana and Tojo). .I honestly cannot speak more highly of them and would recommend them to anyone going to Madagascar. It is a magical place and definitely worth going to even though it is not the easiest place to visit! Unique wildlife, incredible landscapes, wonderful people, rich culture and adventure, what more could a traveller ask for??!!
Climbing the amazing Tsingy was a real experience and left us with a real sense of achievement as well as leaving us in awe of such an incredible place, the wildlife there was fantastic too! Soleil di Tsingy was our favourite of the places we stayed, great food, lovely staff, wonderful room, pool and facilities and incredible view. Ranomafana made us work hard hiking up and down mountains but boy was it worth it to see so much gorgeous rainforest and so many wonderful animals!
Isalo’s landscapes were awe inspiring and again, wonderful wildlife which was very happy to let us have wonderful close experiences! Jardin du Roy was a beautiful place to stay, fabulous rooms, great food, again lovely staff and a gorgeous position. Seeing and hearing the Indri at Andasibe as well as the Sifaka, other lemurs, chameleons, snakes (including the most beautiful tree boa) and birds and so many other animals and that beautiful forest was also a wonderful experience.
Driving through and experiencing the countryside, villages, culture and local life was very interesting and having Mana to explain things to us with his vast store of knowledge and cultural sensitivity guiding us through this very complicated social landscape was invaluable and we learnt so much! All in all it was an even more amazing experience than I had imagined and I had high expectations!!
We truly had a wonderful time at Savanna Lodge with Paddy and his team. The Lodge is absolutely stunning, the food AMAZING, the warm welcome and incredible hospitality second to none and the wildlife, Oh my goodness! Heaven! Big cat central. It really was a wonderful way to finish our trip and made even more amazing by the fact that you organised it in just a few hours after our Masoala plans were so suddenly derailed! Couldn’t have asked for more.
I have always had strong faith and trust in you and EA and every trip confirms this and makes my opinion of you even higher, which I didn’t think possible! You guys are the best. Thank you!
