How many people travel on each tour
Group size depends on the destination and experience. You’ll find the maximum number of guests on each tour page.

Who leads the journey?
Each tour is clearly labelled Encompass Africa led or Partner led. Its itinerary page introduces the host or guiding team, so you know who you’ll travel with before you book.

Can I join as a solo traveller?
Absolutely. A shared interest makes it easy to connect with fellow travellers, while still having space to enjoy Africa in your own way. Each tour page explains the room options and any single supplement.

Do I need particular experience or fitness?
For many journeys, enthusiasm is all you need. Where a tour calls for photography experience, a particular fitness level or comfort with camping, we’ll explain this on its itinerary page. If you’re unsure, let’s talk it through.

What’s included, and do you book international flights?
Each itinerary explains the accommodation, meals, transport and experiences included, along with anything you’ll need to arrange or pay for separately.
You arrange your international flights, and we’re happy to advise on routes that work with the tour. We can also organise additional accommodation, experiences and regional flights in Africa through our tailor-made service.

Can we travel privately or extend our trip?
Yes. Many of these journeys can inspire a private safari for your family or friends, shaped around your dates, budget and interests. You can also join a scheduled tour and add tailor-made arrangements before or afterwards.
