How many people travel on an Encompass Africa group tour?
Group size depends on the destination and the experience, but we keep every tour small. You’ll find the maximum number of guests on each tour page.

Who leads your group tours?
Some tours are led by members of the Encompass Africa team. Others are led by our trusted guides and partners on the ground in Africa. Each tour page will tell you who is leading your journey, so you know who you’ll travel with before you book.

Are your group tours suitable for solo travellers?
Absolutely. A shared interest makes it easy to connect with fellow travellers, while still having space to enjoy Africa in your own way. Each tour page will explain the room options and any single supplement.

Do I need experience in the tour’s particular theme?
Usually, enthusiasm is all you need. If a photography tour, running journey or other departure calls for a particular skill or fitness level, we’ll make that clear on the tour page. Remember anything is possible in Africa, with our tour collection and tailormade.

What’s included in the tour price?
Every journey is different. Its tour page will explain the accommodation, meals, transport and experiences included, along with anything you’ll need to arrange or pay for separately.
You’ll need to book your internationals, and the moment you land in Africa we can take care of the rest with the tour of course plus extra land arrangements and regional airfares required through our tailormade service.

Are international flights included?
No. You arrange your own international flights, and we’re happy to advise on routes that work with the tour. We take care of regional and internal flights in Africa where they form part of the tour journey and extras through our tailormade service.

Can you create a private tour type journey for my family or friends?
