Safari Fusion

Made in Africa

When you’re on safari in Africa, it’s almost impossible to resist the lure of arts and crafts stalls that can be found just about anywhere – from remote desert locations in Namibia with the Himba to Maasai markets in Kenya.

So while you can’t necessarily safari and shop right now in Africa, you can shop safari style thanks to Safari Fusion. It was set up back in 2009 by Kelie Shearwood who lost her heart in Africa in the early 1990s. She’s returned to Africa almost each and every year since then, gaining a deep appreciation for the artistic talents of Africa’s people, the amazing arts and crafts, the incredible architecture and interior design. “I was always searching for that rarely visited, virtually unseen place in my previous career in travel and now use this skill to source amazing contemporary African art, crafts and decor for my store, Safari Fusion.”

Safari Fusion, like Encompass Africa believes in trade not aid. We pay a fair price to the creators in Africa and by doing so, the locals benefit directly along with their family and community. It’s making a difference one safari at a time and one purchase at a time! Take a look by clicking on the button below.
