Joe and Josephine Tsamaidis took their three teenagers on a family holiday to Africa that included time in cosmopolitan Cape Town, an unforgettable safari in Hwange, Zimbabwe, and a beach escape in Mauritius. Here’s what they had to say when they got back…
“Gen Gen Gen you are awesome! Our family holiday to Africa left us agog at every twist and turn.”
Bomani was beyond all possible imaginings – we are speechless. Our guide there, Aubz, was stupendous – we shed some tears leaving him! I’m sure to cry when we speak on the phone because I am so so moved by your care and kindness putting this family holiday to Africa together.
We met the owner of Bomani and he showed us a slideshow about its origins and its impact on the community. It brought the experience to a whole new level – the children have even resolved to return to volunteer here.
“The children have even resolved to return to volunteer here.”
Our son was initially annoyed at us for having to come along on this family holiday to Africa and miss training for state championships. Toward the evening of the first game drive I felt him plant a kiss on me and say ‘Mum this is amazing, I feel so lucky, thank you.’
Jono from Encompass Africa says:
“I remember the first time I spoke with Josephine Tsamaidis. She called to talk about putting together a really beautiful family holiday to Africa that took in a diversity of places to go and things to see and do. It was so much fun for us to arrange everything, knowing what a massive surprise it would be for the family.”
Jono’s suggestion for the Tsamaidis family’s next African adventure:
“We know that seeing the wildlife and being in the middle of absolutely nowhere was their favourite part of this trip to South Africa, so we think Namibia might be right up their alley – it’s breathtaking, and the second-least densely populated country on the planet!”
