Self drive holiday Namibia awaits!

Welcome to the land of endless horizons and awe-inspiring landscapes – Namibia!

If you’re planning a self drive holiday in Namibia, you’re in for a real treat I promise. To ensure your journey is nothing short of effortless and amazing, we’ve got some information to get you excited for your self drive escapade.

Firstly, why Namibia you ask?

Open space, landscapes and scenery – truly breathtaking. And then of course wildlife. Everyone knows Etosha National Park which is always a highlight. We also encourage guests to explore Damaraland famous for desert elephants and rhino (certain areas). Sightings are not guaranteed, but the thrill is in the chase and tracking!

With a population of just over 3 million, locals are extremely friendly and you will not come across many, if any begging or harassing which is something that many of our guests are nervous about.

Infrastucture is excellent with all levels of accommodation catered for, budget to luxury. Roads are brilliant with few potholes – but be prepared.  There are some gravel roads with dips and washboarding, so a 2×4 or 4×4 is certainly our preference when travelling.

Self drive holidays in Namibia are a great safari experience and it can help keep the budget in check.

  8. Pack essentials for the road. It’s important to always carry lots of water, certainly snacks too for those long stretches of roads!

We could talk for hours, but this is just a handful of top tips to get you even more excited!
