We believe every journey should leave Africa stronger, its wildlife thriving, its communities uplifted, its landscapes preserved for generations.
Our 2026 Hearten Africa giving list presents exceptional conservation partnerships, each representing the pinnacle of on-ground impact. These aren’t charities, they’re transformative forces reshaping Africa’s future.
Through our Refer and Reward program, your sphere of influence becomes a catalyst for change.
Every referral you inspire translates into $100 directed toward initiatives you choose, eliminating plastic from pristine ecosystems, and building community through sport.
This is conservation at the highest calibre, where your network drives measurable, lasting impact.
Ele Collection
The Ele Collection addresses one of conservation’s most insidious threats: plastic pollution devastating Africa’s pristine ecosystems.
Their mission is elegantly simple yet profoundly impactful: eliminate single-use plastic from luxury safari operations while giving plastic waste economic value that drives collection and proper disposal.
By transforming plastic from environmental threat into community livelihood, they’re proving conservation succeeds when environmental protection and economic opportunity align.
Your $100 accelerates plastic removal initiatives, funds community recycling programs, or supports the transition to sustainable alternatives across safari operations.
This is conservation innovation where luxury travel becomes the catalyst for systemic change.

Uthando: Waste to Wonder
Uthando (Love) South Africa is an award-winning Fair Trade Tourism certified organisation proving that transformative travel creates transformative communities.
Their “Waste to Wonder” campaign represents social innovation at its finest, converting Cape Town township waste into safe, beautiful spaces where communities gather, children play, and peace takes root.
One of the initiatives is called Pitches for Peace, building soccer pitches within townships so they become community heartbeats, bridging generations, fostering connection, and creating sanctuary in neighbourhoods hungry for safe gathering spaces.
Your $100 contributes to the construction of a pitch in a township in Cape Town, community sports programs, and youth development initiatives that prove sport builds bridges where walls once stood.
This is impact you can see, communities you can visit, and change that ripples through generations.

Is focused on the long term survival of wildlife and habitats in Zambia’s South Luangwa under the custodianship of the Zambian People. It safeguards 1.4 million hectares of largely intact wilderness including the main South Luangwa National park and its surrounding Game Management areas.
They have ground patrol teams, aerial unit, a K9 unit, human-wildlife coexistence programs, a wildlife rescue service (snaring is the silent killer claiming many lives of wildlife in the region each year). In partnership with DNPW and the Zambian Carnivore Programme, CSL works to combat this through deployment of regular anti-snaring patrols and treating snared animals. There’s also the veterinary outreach work that aims to improve domestic animal health by increasing sterilisations and rabies vaccinations which reduces risk of disease transmission to South Luangwa’s wildlife.
