Guest feedback

“Our African safari was magical. All tour connections and plans worked well. Namibia lived up to expectations from red sandhills and starry skies of Sossusvlei, to the strikingly beautiful Damaraland, and the rhinos of Ongava. The waterhole at the Ongava lodge provided quite a lot of entertainment particularly during one lunch when a lion came stalking creating some anxious moments for the guide as he ran for his rifle. All was good and rifle not needed but we realised why he had one.

However, Botswana stole the limelight as far as safari experiences went with Kwando Lagoon camp coming out ahead of Splash camp. The waterway at Lagoon camp provided a refreshing and entertaining backdrop to the camp. At Splash camp the water had receded considerably and would have been dry had they not pumped from a bore. The green of Lagoon with the hippos and elephants, and the rooms there made more of an impression than Splash. Loved the early morning bush breakfast around the fire, and definitely the tradition of sundowner. Elephants, zebra, giraffe, hippos antelope (still not good at identifying the different types) wildebeests and many other – we saw the lot. Lions roamed passed the vehicles or lazed on the higher ground in the shade. We chased wild dogs stalking and making a kill of a baby Kudu, came upon cheetahs smothering and eating baby warthog, lion and her cubs making a meal of a baby giraffe and hyenas salivating around a month dead elephant. Nature is not always pretty.

Thank you for putting together such a great and memorable holiday”
