SA Airlink has announced that starting 15 June 2012 they will be launching a daily flight between Johannesburg and Maun! They will be operating the route with one of their fleet of 10 Embraer ERJ 137 regional jets, configured with 37 economy seats. Flights will depart Johannesburg at 11h45 and arrive in Maun at 13h15. Return flights will depart Maun at 14h00 and arrive in Johannesburg at 15h40.
Airlink’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Karin Murray, announced: “Flights are timed so as to connect with the majority of international morning arrivals, domestic and regional flights from points such as Cape town and then the afternoon wave of intercontinental departures as well as flights onward to Cape Town and other domestic destinations such as Nelspruit Kruger”.
This certainly is exciting news for this very popular safari routing and will no doubt work in conjunction with a number of other Airlink routes and destinations. In addition to this great news the Commercial Director of Air Botswana has confirmed the Maun – Cape Town route as of 01 June 2012. Time slots are currently being finalised and we will let you know as soon as times have been allocated.
