WOW we’ve found a full day safari in the Chobe that we love love love and you don’t have to stay in Chobe if you don’t want to as we transfer you from Victoria Falls. It’s an early start – but that’s safari life! Worth every early morning minute. Find out more here!
We’ve teamed up with ‘Guts’ and the team at Pangolin Photo Safaris to offer a brilliant photographic safari in the Chobe. Guts is the head photo guide and a real character not to mention a great photographer (see his photos below).
A Chobe day trip is now possible departing from either Livingstone or Victoria FAlls. As you only have one day in the park, it’s essential that you get some photographs to really remember the experience and with Pangolin, you cannot go wrong!
You will be collected from your accommodation and transported to the Botswana border arriving around 09h00. It’s just an hour drive in air conditioned vehicle and you’re assisted with the border process so all will be well.
On arrival at Kasane and one you’ve cleared customs, meet a staff member from Pangolin who will give you a lovely warm welcome and overview of your day. You head straight to the river where the Pangolin Photo Boat will be waiting with cameras mounted and ready plus fresh 4gb SD cards inserted ready for you to fill and take home with you!
The river safari lasts 3 hours and during this time you will be shown how the cameras work and given assistance to capture magic images. No previous experience is necessary and you won’t need your own camera for this part as Nikon D70000 cameras and telephoto lens are provided.
At the end of the boat safari, you return to the jetty near The Old House and enjoy an a la carte lunch in the open air restaurant.
Afterwards, you’ll be picked up and head off on an exciting game drive through the Chobe National Park. It’s a standard off road large vehicle with open sides and you will need your camera. Water is provided for you to stay hydrated! Your 3 hour 4×4 safari will sadly come to an end around 5pm and from here it’s time to return to the border and onwards to your hotel.
This has become our new favourite Chobe experience!
