Many don’t know of the British colony’s efforts in Kenya during World War One and we are excited to bring a historical safari itinerary to you!
We’ve teamed up with a top tourist hotel in Kenya, the National Museums of Kenya an and other stakeholders to create a fantastic historical tour through the sites of World War 1 in Kenya. It’s the first battle field tourism initiative in the country and very exciting!
Guests will be taken to former world war one sites, learn about the soldiers who took part in it, visit graveyards, camps and more. The sites are in Taita-Taveta County where British, Germans, Indians among others fought in the First World War and used some of the fields in those areas as battle grounds.
Mr James Wilson, a member of the International Guild of Battle Field Guides will lead each tour.
