Little known safari destination, Congo is covered in dense tropical rainforest. The animals that live here find the most ingenious ways to carve out their space in a claustrophobic landscape. Danger lurks in every shadow, but some animals thrive here, from honey-stealing chimps to birds with a lineage as old as the dinosaurs, thundering elephants and kick-boxing frogs. No matter how tough the competition, you must stand up and fight for yourself and your survival

Little explored Congo is high on our list of adventure experiences. Here’s a great special for November travel.
Day 1: Arrive into Brazzaville, private transfer to Mikhael’s Hotel for 1 night in premium room with breakfast included.
Day 2: Transfer to airport, light aircraft flight to Rainforest. 6 nights on safari staying at two exciting camps, Lango Camp and Ngaga Camp.
Days 3 – 6: Enjoy bush walks, safari game drives, boating and more for the chance to see forest buffalo, gorillas, chimps and monkeys, elephant, western sitatunga, spotted hyaena, golden cats and even water chevrotain.
Day 7: After breakfast, fly back to Brazzaville for afternoon flight out.
Lango Camp – set in the heart of the spectacular Odzala-Kokoua National Park offering unique access to diverse habitats explored by few people to date. Nestled in dense gallery forest, your room is raised 4 metres above the ground and overlooks a productive bai allowing regular views of species like forest buffalo, African grey parrots and more. The main area features lounge, dining and bar all connected to the rooms by raised wooden walkways. Our favourite is the star deck and fire pit area – best for late night storytelling and cold drink after a hard day on safari!
Ngala Camp- is set in primary forest and where you’ll base yourself to see the western lowland gorillas. The rooms are inspired by the B’Aka Pygmy architecture made from local materials and raised above the ground with wrap around viewing deck so you get full immersion into the forest. Nestled on the edge of the pristine Ngaga Stream, you’ll enjoy sounds of water and wildlife day and night. Activities here focus on tracking the gorillas and experiencing one of the remote and untouched rainforests of Africa. With over 450 species of birds recorded in the area, you’re bound to marvel at their colour, movement and sounds.
