Can you travel to Africa imminently if a cracking summer special came up that tickled your fancy? Well here’s a Zimbabwe special we’ve created, hope you like it.
Highlights: 3 nights Victoria Falls, 2 nights Hwange National Park, 2 nights Matobo Hills
Summary: From the moment you arrive our team will ensure an effortless, amazing Zimbabwe safari experience.
Victoria Falls Transfer with fellow guests from Victoria Falls Airport to your accommodation and enjoy three nights with daily breakfast, courtesy shuttle to town daily and a session in the elephant hide on the waterhole allowing you the up close perspective.
Hwange From here you road transfer with fellow guests in air conditioned comfort to your accommodation located on a private 2,400 hectare concession bordering eastern Hwange National Park. Activities are varied and include morning and afternoon game drives either on the concession or in Hwange National Park. Walking safaris and night drives are conducted within the concession and visits to the nearby Wild Dog Research Project. Your stay includes all meals, local brand drinks, 2 scheduled safari activities daily (3 visits to Hwange National Park included), return Hwange Main Airport/Hwange Main Camp/Hwange Safari Lodge transfers and laundry.
Matobo Hills Now it’s time to see part of Zimbabwe that few venture to and we think it’s one of the most rewarding for its natural beauty and a really quirky accommodation! Important to note this package includes accommodation that is not ideal for guests who have any difficulty walking as there are numerous steps! You’ll stay in a lovely property tucked away amongst giant whale-back dwalas within the impressive granite domes and castle kopjes of Matobo Hills.
Activities are many and varied with your luxury African safari and with prior preparation (so we liaise with camp on your behalf before you fly) so we tailor them to suit your interests and ensure you experience the true grandeur and beauty of the Matobo area, its history and inhabitants all in the company of archaeologist and historian, Paul Hubbard (pending availability). Depending on fitness levels walking may be in the form of a gentle walk to visit nearby San rock art sites or on a more strenuous full day hike to Nanke Cave (on request and weather permitting). Tracking both white and black rhino on foot in the company of a professional guide is an incredibly rewarding experience. Drive through the park as you explore in the footsteps of Cecil John Rhodes and King Mzilikaze, chief of the Matabele, before visiting Rhodes final resting place atop ‘View of the World’. On a cultural excursion gain an insight into the everyday life of the local Matabele when visiting a ‘real’ homestead, an orphanage, primary school and rural clinic.
Your stay includes all meals, local drinks, 2 scheduled safari activities daily, return Bulawayo Airport/Bulawayo Town transfers and laundry.
After your adventure, we transfer you to Bulawayo airport for your onward flight out.
